Global Warming is the increase in the world's temperature and changes in the world's climate caused by Carbon Dioxide from our cars, factories and power plants. Many scientists believe that the world is getting warmer and that this will affect our oceans, weather, and agriculture. Some even believe that countries and cities near the coast will disappear as sea-levels rise.

However, not all scientists are convinced that global warming is happening, and many politicians do not want to change their policies of economic development.

This page has links to background information on global warming, both for and against.
